🌿 About Reiki

Reiki is a gentle, supportive energy practice intended to promote relaxation, balance, and overall well-being.

No prior experience is needed. You are always encouraged to participate at your comfort level. This session is designed to be accessible, grounding, and invitational.

🌸 How To prepare

Because this session includes energy-based practices, we encourage mindful preparation:

  • Ideally one week in advance (minimum 48 hours), reduce or avoid alcohol, refined sugar, and heavily processed foods
  • Eat and hydrate simply and cleanly
  • Create a quiet, comfortable space where you will not be disturbed
  • Come with openness and curiosity

  • Citrus fruit or citrus essential oil (for aromatherapy)
  • Yoga mat
  • Blanket
  • Cushions or supportive props

  • Notepad and pen
  • Comfortable clothing
  • Enough space to move and to lie down.

Meet Your Facilitators

Fabio da Silva Fernandes

Fabio da Silva Fernandes runs a holistic wellness practice focusing on resiliency, mindfulness and Reiki. Fabio’s passion is in helping others cultivate greater resilience as a speaker, writer, trainer and consultant, and he hosts an inspirational podcast on this wideranging topic called The Stumbling Spirit. After more than 20 years in the fintech industry, Fabio left the corporate world to start his own venture as a Mindfulness Coach and Reiki Master during the pandemic. Resting Bell Wellness Inc. was born and is now branded under the name of his noteworthy show, The Stumbling Spirit

Nicole Manes

Nicole Manes is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Certified Sound Therapy Practitioner. Based in Toronto, she offers in-person and online counselling in English and Spanish, including sound-assisted talk therapy. Alongside individual therapy, Nicole facilitates group workshops and immersive sound and voice experiences, and has delivered sound baths, therapeutic vocal toning sessions, and psychoeducational programming for organizations such as Google, Toronto Community Health Centres, and the University of Toronto. Nicole integrates psychotherapy with sound therapy and other somatic, mind-body approaches to support stress reduction and overall mental health. She works with adults across the lifespan, supporting concerns related to anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, chronic pain, self-esteem, health challenges, relationships, workplace stress, career development, immigration, and life transitions. With a previous professional background in journalism, public relations, and marketing, Nicole brings a nuanced understanding of work-life balance, communication dynamics, and professional identity to her clinical work.

Lucy De Matos

Lucy De Matos is the founder of Heal THY Self Nutrition, after being diagnosed with Vasculitis over 30 years ago, she began her journey to healing through a series of natural and holistic modalities. She created Heal THY Self to educate, support and empower people to live a happier, healthier and more vibrant life. Her practice focuses on using a holistic approach to reducing chronic inflammation, fatigue and pain using nutrition, supportive supplement regimens, lifestyle and spiritual practices to recover health and vitality. Lucy is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Meditation Teacher, Soul Coach, Sacred Cacao Ceremony Facilitator with Sacred Drum, and Reiki Master. Lucy sits on the Board of Directors for the Vasculitis Foundation of Canada as she is passionate about raising awareness for Vasculitis.

Heidi Bornstein

Heidi Bornstein is the founder of Mindfulness Everyday and a longtime teacher of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. She has trained extensively in Hatha Yoga, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), trauma-sensitive mindfulness, and Medical Qigong, including study in India and with leading mindfulness educators. Heidi co-created the Yoda-Yoga Program for Kids and The Mindful Edge® for teens, and has been teaching in schools, community organizations, and professional settings since 2002. She continues to support children, youth, and adults in cultivating resilience, balance, and well-being through practical, accessible mindfulness practices.

Natanya Mandel

Natanya Mandel is a mindfulness facilitator and coach who supports people living with migraine, headache disorders, and sensitive nervous systems to build practical, compassionate ways of relating to their bodies and symptoms. Her work blends mindfulness, somatic awareness, and gentle behaviour change to support self-regulation, resilience, and nervous system steadiness in the midst of chronic neurological challenges. Alongside her role with Mindfulness Everyday, she runs a coaching practice focused on migraine self-management and nervous system support, and has facilitated individual coaching, group programs, workshops, and community education in collaboration with migraine and pain advocacy communities. Her approach is trauma-aware, grounded, and informed by lived experience, bringing both clinical sensitivity and human warmth to the spaces she holds.
