It is in gratitude that Deb Taylor links arms with the Mindfulness Everyday team as a facilitator of the SMART Program. Deb’s mission: to share these beneficial mind-body techniques for greater ease in work and home life. Christie Hutchison, B.A. (Hons.), M.A., B.Ed.
SMART Facilitator / Associate Mindfulness Teacher

Before retiring from a 30-year career with Peel District School Board primarily as a consultant/resource teacher in Special Education, Christy began an open-hearted and open-minded journey into the practices of Mindfulness and Mindful Meditation. Working in complex and highly stressful situations she was struck and moved by the chronic levels of stress that these situations caused others and herself, stress that often resulted in compromised physical and emotional well-being.

This journey led her to certifications as an Applied Mindfulness Meditation Specialist through University of Toronto (Factor-Inwentash) as well as facilitator certification with Mindfulness without Borders. She is passionate about the work of Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer having completed the Mindful Self-Compassion program. Most recently she has completed her training as a facilitator for smartEducation™ (Stress Management and Resiliency Techniques) with the Mindfulness Everyday community.

Most recently Christy can be found deepening her own practice, facilitating groups of educators in Peel District Schools, co-facilitating Wellness retreats, and providing individual and group coaching to those wishing to integrate Mindfulness into their lives. Christy believes that each moment of presence, whether challenging or joyful is a gift to be explored and cherished.
