Heidi Bornstein

Founder – Executive Director

HEIDI BORNSTEIN is the founder of Mindfulness Everyday and a lead teacher for the programs offered by the organization. She is the co-creator and teacher for The Mindful Edge® – Stress Reduction and Life Strategies for Teens program in high schools. Heidi is on the steering committee for Mindfulness Toronto and Discover Mindfulness. She has been teaching yoga and meditation in Toronto since 2002 and continues to support yoga, meditation, and mindfulness programs for children, youth, teens, and adults.

Diana Last


DIANNA LAST is a teacher for MBSR, smartEDUCATION and The Mindful Edge® – Stress Reduction and Life Strategies For Teens program in high schools. She is an experienced professional photographer, who taught in the Artist in the Schools program with the TDSB. She’s exhibited at various galleries, at the Toronto Art Expo and is in many private collections worldwide.


Christianne JamesDirector

CHRISTIANNE JAMES is an integrative manual therapist with licences for massage therapy, osteopathy and acupuncture. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the table with a diverse background in health care and education.
She has 10 years in the health industry ranging from pharmaceuticals marketing, advertising and sales to manual therapy and education. She owns and operates Body Unity Integrative Health Care & Wellness where she can incorporate her love for health, helping others and education.  As a teacher and public speaker, Christianne shares her belief that the body has an innate ability to heal itself if given the right help and conditions. She knows the importance of the mind, body, spirit connection and the delicate yet unique balance that is required for optimal health and wellness on an individual basis.
Christianne has completed the MBSR course with Heidi Bornstein and Stephen Chadwick and has incorporated some of the tenants and activities into her personal life as well as her treatment plans for her patients.


Bob Buckner is a retired executive having worked 32 years for Bank of Montreal, most recently as head of Corporate Finance for B.C.  He has a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Economics from University of Victoria and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.  He has served on a number of corporate and charitable boards and is currently involved with strategic planning for Discover Mindfulness and a Director of Mindfulness Everyday.
